Immigration Attorney

Grape Law Firm, PLLC is looking for a talented colleague for the “Case Manager ( Immigration Attorney)” position in Türkiye. Grape Law is a New York-based, young, and dynamic law firm dedicated to helping immigrants worldwide navigate the immigration process and obtain citizenship. We're currently seeking an ambitious and talented Case Manager ( Immigration Attorney to join our team and contribute significantly to the expansion of our Legal department. This role is remote and follows New York time zone working hours.

The role entails reporting to the Managing Attorney in New York office. The responsibility mainly covers immigration laws in the United States. The candidate is expected to work in close co-operation with the attorneys, as well as the administrative and legal staff. The Attorney is expected to work remotely and in accordance with New York time zone.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Managing Attorney in representing clients on a variety of affirmative immigration matters with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
• Draft forms and letters for visa applications and petitions, applications for permanent residence, labor certification applications, and other immigrant and non-immigrant related filings
• Analyze and review case details and determine future actions
• Analyze, review and organize documents and data from materials produced
• Gather and organize appropriate evidence to support immigration filings
• Assemble application and petition packages and files with USCIS or other appropriate agency
• Conduct quality assurance review of immigration filings
• Coordinate translation of foreign documents, equivalency and evaluations of foreign degrees and work experience, and expert opinions
• Communicate timely, compassionately, and professionally with both corporate and individual clients on matters associated with immigration filings
• Maintain computer databases and monitor reports related to caseload management of immigration matters
• Address client case status inquiries, including steps in process remaining, processing times, and consular appointment issues.
• Monitor immigration related publications and web sites for news and trends and communicate findings to the practice group keeping important items in electronic files
• Setup new cases in system and prepare engagement letters

Required qualifications and experience:

• LLB degree from a reputable university
• LLM degree from U.S institution (Preferred)
• US Bar Admission (Plus)
• Fluency in English. Excellent verbal, and written skills (Documentation of a TOEFL score of 100 or higher or an IELTS (Academic) score of 7.0 or higher will be an asset and shall be considered through the recruiting process)
• Background with automation using information technology and willingness to embrace technology to automate processes is strongly preferred. Past experience in this area is a strong plus as the associate will assist with technology aspects of the firm.
