IT Specialist

Grape Law Firm, PLLC is looking for a talented colleague for the “IT Specialist” position in Türkiye. Grape Law is a New York-based, young, and dynamic law firm dedicated to helping immigrants worldwide navigate the immigration process and obtain citizenship.

We're currently seeking a creative and experienced IT Specialist who has minimum of 1 year experience to join our team and contribute significantly to the expansion and management of our technology department. In this hands‑on role, you’ll tackle day‑to‑day support tickets, help manage hardware and software assets, and play a key part in safeguarding our systems and data. This role is remote and follows New York time zone working hours.

Responsibilities

User & Help‑Desk Support
- Respond to incoming IT support tickets and escalate complex issues to the IT Administrator when necessary
- Provide friendly, clear guidance to staff on software, hardware, and connectivity problems

Hardware & Software Assistance
- Assist with setup, imaging, and deployment of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
- Help track and update the inventory of all hardware and software assets
- Support license renewals and basic vendor interactions

Microsoft 365 & Core Applications
- Perform routine user management (add/remove accounts, reset passwords, manage groups)
- Assist in configuring SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams settings under the IT Administrator’s guidance

Backup & Recovery
- Verify scheduled backups complete successfully and report anomalies
- Conduct periodic test restores to confirm data integrity

Security Support
- Monitor endpoint‑protection dashboards for alerts and act on first‑level findings
- Apply approved patches and updates to operating systems and applications

VoIP & Communication Systems
- Carry out basic moves, adds, and changes in the VoIP phone system
- Troubleshoot common call‑quality or connectivity issues before escalating

Continuous Improvement & Documentation
- Keep procedure documents and knowledge‑base articles up to date
- Stay current on emerging IT tools and best practices; suggest improvements to the IT Administrator

Qualifications

Education & Experience
- 1–2 years in a help‑desk, desktop support, or junior system‑administration role
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, Windows and macOS environments, and basic networking
- Optional but a huge plus: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of Active Directory or Entra ID user management
- Exposure to backup software, antivirus/EDR platforms, and ticketing systems
- Understanding of VoIP fundamentals

Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving attitude
- Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Team‑focused mindset with readiness to learn from senior staff
